Overview
Lightspeed Studios advances game development through stories, gameplay, and technology — next-gen experiences across genres and devices. Lightspeed Tech Center is the R&D arm behind PUBG Mobile and other titles, covering engine, audio, QA, AI, next-gen games, and technical cooperation across the full game lifecycle.
As a Computer Graphics Intern in Sydney, you’ll work with senior engineers and scientists on real-time physics simulation (fluid, cloth, deformable and rigid bodies, animation), read the latest research papers, reproduce techniques, and push performance and quality in production engines.
Key Requirements
- Maths: Strong calculus, linear algebra, differential geometry, and basic numerical analysis.
- Programming: Familiar with C++; ability to read papers and implement code in engines like Unreal or Unity.
- Soft skills: Strong sense of responsibility and good communication.
- Plus: GPU computing (CUDA or DirectCompute); graphics APIs (OpenGL or DirectX); publications at SIGGRAPH / TOG / Eurographics / CGF / TVCG / SCA / I3D.
- Day-to-day: Research & develop real-time physics/animation tech with seniors; reproduce papers and improve performance/quality.
