Overview
Qualcomm’s Cork FY27 Software Engineering Internship (6 months, from as early as January 2027) places you across software, AI/ML, and systems teams — not a typical narrow software placement.
Possible tracks include Data Center / Cloud AI (system software, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms); AI Cellular (5G/6G tools, prototypes, network performance analysis from data → model → insight); and AI Automation Engineering (GPU hardware verification flows, RTL simulation, domain-specific AI models).
Key Requirements
- Education: Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related; must have completed second year of Bachelor’s (ideally second year of Master’s).
- Required: Strong Python + ML libraries (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch or TensorFlow); DS&A and software fundamentals; foundational ML/LLM/prompt engineering; Linux; APIs/automation/data pipelines; basic networking (TCP/IP, UDP); interest in AI/ML.
- Preferred: C/C++/Python intermediate; HuggingFace/LangChain; model train/eval/fine-tune; Git/Docker/CI-CD; vector DBs/RAG; GenAI/agentic AI; systems/hardware interest; cellular (LTE/5G) or graphics (Vulkan/DirectX/OpenGL); Git or Perforce.
